Artist's Description

Watercolor inspired by the story of Pedro Huizar carving the Rose Window at Mission San Jose, (San Antonio, in Spanish territory, now Texas) for his fiancee, Rosa. Later, he got married, lived a long life and had a large family. I met one of the descendants of Pedro Huizar in San Antonio at West Elm, where I was selling my art. That was so exciting!
